Super Garden 2022 - The Chrysalis Garden installation

It was an honour to be asked to create a bespoke installation for one of the competing landscape gardeners for Super Garden 2022. Aimee Moore of Botanical Graphics invited me to collaborate on a piece that would add to the beauty and theme of of her design - The Chyrsalis Garden.

Aimee’s garden is vibrant and colourful and celebrates butterflies and new beginnings and will be a haven for bees and bugs too. For Anna, the home owner, it was important to feel connected to nature as she transitioned from living in the country to a semi detached house in town and to be a part of the solution in helping our native butterflies, bees and bugs to thrive. Aimee created a visually impactful, beautifully colourful and inviting space where anyone would be happy to just sit and be.

For those that don’t know Super Garden is an RTE television program that has been running for 13 years here in Ireland. The concept - 5 budding landscape gardeners compete to become Super Garden Designer of the Year. Each given an empty garden, a budget and 5 weeks from breaking ground to down tools to work their magic. It’s a fun watch.
