This original painting was created during an event where I live painted for 15 hours. Infusing the energy and spirit of the people, the music, the earth, sea, sky and fire into the canvas. When I returned home I continued to work on it to imbue all the magic in my heart that I brought away with me.
The bonfire is the center of many sacred gatherings that happen around Ireland throughout the year at Equinox and Solstices and many other celebrations in between. When we come together to dance, sing, drum and honour our Celtic lineage around a fire there is always a sense of ‘I am home’.
I hope this painting inspires you to gather your friends and sit around a fire sharing stories of life and love, loss and grief, adventures and successes.
